Srinagar, Jan 28 (KNO): The residents living in Chandapora locality in Habba Kadal here have raised concerns over the shortage of drinking water supply in their area. The locals told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the water scarcity is being witnessed at a time when the authorities here have been claiming to ensure adequate drinking water supply under the slogan "Har Ghar, Nal Se Jal". The common masses are mostly being deprived of the facility in the locality as they hardly get the water supply in a day, leaving them to lurch at large. “We are living close to the overhead water tank, but still are getting water supply for mere minutes in a day,” the locals said. “We approached the PHE authorities several times in this regard but no action has been taken in this regard. Now, we the inhabitants of Chandapora and Baba Pora Habba Kadal request concerned authorities to look into the matter and redress our grievances at an earliest. The authorities should ensure adequate water supply to the consumers by taking apt measures in this regard,” the locals said—(KNO)
